Okay, so I recently came across a trailer for the movie Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter.  The story goes that Abraham Lincoln, one of our greatest presidents, was indeed a vampire hunter!  Now you might be asking how he became a vampire hunter, and the answer is that apparently his mother was killed by vampires, so now he hunts them.

I’m not going to lie when I say that this movie looks amazing.  Even though the idea and premise are beyond ridiculous, this film seems to take itself very seriously.  Just by viewing the trailer, it seems as if the dialogue, intense action, and character development are going to fit with Hollywood’s standards.  The only thing I’m slightly concerned about is that this film is produced by Tim Burton, and I’ve never really liked anything he’s put out.  I feel like Tim uses his creepy atmosphere to make up for his terrible story telling.  But Tim is only the producer and didn’t direct it, so I still have some faith.  Another thing as well is that if this movie does become very successful then ten or so years later when a group of first graders get asked who Abraham Lincoln was, they’ll probably reply, “He was a vampire hunter.”  Overall, this movie looks very promising and I’m definitely going to be watching Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter on opening day.
