Valentine’s Day was never really a day of much importance in his opinion. All it was, was an excuse for greeting card companies to earn tons of money by developing large amounts of valentines.

What were valentines anyway? Xander thought to himself, as he tapped his fork on the plate before him, staring at his lunch. They were nothing of importance, just little slips of paper with a little poem or something as equally cheesy within, telling the reader how “special” they are. If they were that special, couldn’t their significant other simply tell them or, you know, make one instead of purchasing one that a hundred other people would receive?

“Xander,” a familiar voice sung before he felt two dainty arms wrap around him from behind. “How’s my favorite redhead on this fine morning?”

He smiled as he looked back at her. “I’m okay. You?”

“I’m great actually!” She kissed him on the forehead before suddenly skipping back out of the room. “See you later~!”

Xander stared for a second; that was a bit odd. He looked back down at his plate to see a small folded paper on it. He picked it up and after quickly reading it, went after the girl.

It read:

Green are your eyes,

Red is your hair.

To find someone like you,

Is incredibly rare.

P.S. I love you ♥
