The winter calls for much excitement. The holiday season is the time when many people begin to celebrate, and students are no exception. Every year the Galt High School student government puts on what they call a “Winter Ball” and boy is this a way to celebrate the holidays. This is a dance where students have the opportunity to get dressed up, in formal attire, as if they were attending a ball! The theme varies, and every year it’s different. This year the theme is “A night in paradise”. “The most exciting part of it all is that we can invite people who don’t go to this school!” says a GHS student. Many students think of this dance as one of the best ones of the year, right next to prom. It is expected that there will be around 400 guests at this event. Security is enforced but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot of fun deriving from this awaited event. Many girls purchase their dress early, before everyone rushes to the stores, “I don’t want to end up wearing the same dress as someone else!” says a GHS student in the junior class. “I want it to be cutely decorated; I hope there’s a good background for pictures and a good DJ. This should be a fun night!” This dance is probably the most looked forwards to event in the coming up weeks! Be there, right before finals week on December 10th!
