Have you noticed the switch in trend on people’s heads lately? The snap-back hat has returned from the past. It wasn’t until the late Nineties that fitted caps began to become larger and pushed snap-backs to the side. Now many people are starting to retire their fitted caps and buy snap-backs. Snap-backs used to be a huge sports gear item back in the day and have turned with a whole new image. A Starter snap-back is by far the most popular cap for sports back in the day, and this is how it became what it is today. However, the recent trend is snap-backs of any kind and not just Starters. Brands such as 47 Brand, Mitchell & Ness, and TISA have all begun to take over.  You can find snap-backs on the heads of frat boys, ‘bros’, and ‘bruhs’ everywhere. It is a trend that you can find in high schools, colleges, and malls all over the United States. When I’m walking through our halls I see snap-backs on the heads of many guys and even some girls. The meaning of the hat has now completely changed and diversified into a whole new appearance. If you haven’t noticed this new trend, you might want to look around. These hats have created lots of noise through the student population. Everybody wants to wear them and “fitted” hats are slowly being pushed aside. They say, fashion always comes back with a twist, and boy are snap-backs making their return! Who said Galt High School students couldn’t be in style? Because right now they’re wearing the latest!                                               — Jordan Gleave
